The Rides

Now would probably be a good time to mention the rides.  We traveled from Paris to Amsterdam in a bus, making a gigantic loop around Europe.  While I was kind of worried about some of the longer drives, it actually wound up being not that bad at all.  We were a relatively small group, so we were able to spread out.  Our Dutch driver, Gerard (pronounced CHHHer-ard in a phlegmy sort of way I could never quite master) was AWESOME, and the bus was quite nice as well.

Traveling through Europe, you also have to take frequent breaks, meaning rest stops along the way.  This was a good chance to stretch our legs a bit and experience random local food.
